I’ve seen people on the web get offended when others are merely asking for help.
It’s all in the interpretation, and disheartening to see people decide to be aggressive and cynical.
When this urge to battle arises, consider instead a measured and optimistic approach.
I must be old. I’m confused by the fact that I when I search for the soundtrack to a video game I am met with the conclusion that it is not available.
“Not available to buy” is one of the most ridiculous things to happen on the internet, especially when it comes to video games.
Planning out my new analogue-based system for different kinds of notes in full and it feels good.
A rule I just developed: No personal notes begin digitally.
My thought: “wow I love the variety of blogging here on Micro.blog”
My action: yet more rambling about which consumer electronics purchase I may or may not make
I, being of a mature and reasonable disposition have decided to take one of two contrasting paths when it comes to my handheld computer:
- Get a “feature phone” and keep the iPhone around for emergencies only.
- OR get the big iPhone and use it for as many years as possible.
Woke up at 6 and stayed awake, despite sleeping far too late. Made some progress with the day so far. A step in the right direction.
A regular sleeping schedule, including an early rise, is an important part in staying on top of everything I am doing. Feels good.
Missed the photo challenge. Birthdays and Hogan-centred visits have a way of making the social web disappear from our lives…
Relying on online grocery shopping deliveries is one hell of a motivator for;
- organising the food down to the smallest details;
- and learning to drive literally as soon as possible.
The recent updates to ActivityPub on Micro.blog are further proof of the strength of the non-silo approach; separate networks, working together, with zero ambition to trap people and harvest them for the skeevy ad-tech industry.
