Well that was something.
The new Conversation features on MB have brought me around to Manton’s thinking. I no longer want threaded replies and much prefer to think of my blog’s comments and the timeline as a great place for short exchanges, one-on-one discussions, and quick initial contact before moving into other spaces.
Micro.blog State of the Platform is happening on YouTube. A surprise demo is currently happening!
Micro Camp links
Getting some chores done and preparing for Micro Camp. Working out my window set-up, between Zoom, YouTube, and a spare browser.
Edit: I now know that we’re going back to the Help forum chat for during the sessions. I’ve used the web app Mac feature for the chat:

Another Micro Camp, another chance to win an awesome prize:
All the prizes are amazing, so you really canβt go wrong.
Fully agreed with Jean on this. Good luck!
Such good news to see Kimberly Hirsh joining the Micro.blog team! π
Also fantastic news from the same post:
Vincent has also been at work behind the scenes to improve the admin features in our platform, with the hope that some of it can be available to more community members.
Yet more great work from Vincent, and also a good sign of the team taking the well-proven careful and considered approach when making significant changes to the platform.
As somebody who now lives in a wonderfully human-friendly place with regard to weather, and that includes phenomenal access to sunlight the nano-texture update was the most interesting part of the iPad announcement.
I have been using both Epilogue and the Waterstones wish-lists for taking note of books I’d like to read. Time to get rid of the latter and make Epilogue my only digital tool for capturing this information.

I was chuckling by the end β they got me good!
“Everyone must have an opinion!” has recently been the calling card of certain parts of the social web; specifically the Very Online part.
I remain deeply unsure of this. Instead, if often seems to be a bad thing and even destructive to the supposed causes of the people who make said proclamation.
