I got a few sentences into this “Authenticity” thing and stopped.

  1. The website is fucking awful.
  2. The idea that people stopped caring about “selling out” in 2008 is horseshit.
  3. Seriously, “Subpixel Space”? 🙄

There is a genuine belief from people in 2018 that pre-2008 internet was much better. It’s the midlife crisis for the social web early adopter generation.

I still can’t vouch for omnibear as much as I would like. Anything but a basic note post does not work from Chrome with a Micro.blog hosted site. And as with too much of the IndieWeb, the opportunity to get help is not as obvious as it ought to be.

I wonder if we could have some official requests/suggestions channels for Micro.blog. I enjoy reading Manton’s blog and talking to him as a Micro.blog user but the constant interceding by people asking for something doesn’t make for a nice experience at all.
