Micro.blog plug-in idea:
A “Follow box” in which you get a page, or widget for embedding on a page. Inside the widget/page are the different built-in ways to follow you; different feeds, newsletter, MB profile.
Optional extras;
- add your own links;
- use icons;
- and customise with text.
A new feature for Fastmail:
Manage your incoming mail by email address. Set up your address to file or label, forward a copy, or delete mail.

Okay now I’m done with the small updates to TIL. So worth it for having category pages back, though.
After 18 months of being broken, the category pages for @TIL are now working again! This is all thanks to the collaborative spirit from the Help forums, for which I am again thankful.
Thanks to @cfristrom, @sod, and @manton an important part of TIL is back up and running. 🙌
Since I’ve put effort into no longer making feature requests for Micro.blog — I used to do this a lot and now think it’s better for other people to be heard — an interesting thing has happened; it has become clear exactly what my most wanted feature actually is.
Mute specific conversations.
-> GP appointment for treatment cancelled before Christmas
-> Pain and difficulties worsen
-> Leave for re-scheduled appointment
-> Bus just doesn’t appear at all
-> GP surgery phone queue is “full”
-> Now have to re-schedule again
-> The pain and difficulties continue again
… in “Great” Britain.
Every now and then I take a step back and consider the whole of Micro.blog, especially from the viewpoint of a blogger and website enthusiast.
It’s clear to me that this is the year I can truly build out my website to better represent me.
Truly: one site = one identity.
That’s pretty cool.
I’m pretty sure I’m done with maintenance updates for TIL now.
Next up: some off-site fun and ✨more Orchid✨.
I’m also super thankful that we didn’t grow by some scary massive number. Hooray for more slowly-paced, sustainable growth!

One of the many ways Adam and Manton are quite similar, all within the context of a thing I believe is important:
It is very easy to say “things should be better”, however what truly matters is when you have this opinion and then do the work.
Adam and Manton are more than willing to put their money where their mouth is, at a time when it is so easy to simply mouth off.
Is the Micro.blog CSS editor working for everybody else? The progress spinner just keeps going round and round…
TIL Firefox will accept underline CSS for an element in a certain situation whilst Safari will not.
