If you're not interested in helping people then why even be open for feedback? If a developer is "forced to" -- I dunno, maybe by their boss or whatever -- then guess what, it's time to grow up and be a functioning adult in society, which includes being professional. In this case that means having competence with a practical attitude as part of constructive software support.
