@yorrike From what little info I have (never seriously read the comics) I think the occult is essentially bundled into space things ("sci-fi') all as part of what Marvel refers to as cosmic. So it's more like the "supernatural" side of things is basically a disguise because humans weren't ready to accept certain things; earth being something other than round and at the centre of the universe, otherworldly beings as just aliens rather than "of the gods" or whatever, etc. You know, like how Stephen Strange has his "soul" punched out of his body.

Have you seen Agents of Shield? It kinda covers some of that general idea, or at least sorta provides examples of it.
