@hjertnes Sounds about right. Everything I see and hear about the Mac, without having used one, is that it is much more like an iPad now in these ways. Having relied on an iPad Pro as my main computer, and using it quite a lot, it doesn't feel like Apple are making the best decisions with such changes.
