I don't think it's a good idea on Micro.blog either. None of these discussions can ever be a net-good for anything if they take place in these restrictive and warped environments.

Sure, use timeline-based networks as broadcast tools for leading people to the better spaces for such discussions. But they shouldn't also be where the discussions themselves take place.
