Adjusted for inflation, the original Mac cost $7000. I think Ben Thompson is correct insofar as the Vision line of products is intended to largely replace the Mac, eventually.

HEIC support in Safari is an interesting development.

Damn it… there are an increasing number of actual-very-good-things-I-use updates to Apple’s stuff this year.

Not only am I tempted by the iOS beta for the first time, I am also considering jumping on the new Mac update before the end of the year, and keeping an eye out for a better phone.

WWDC is always a good opportunity for me to further learn about how to make and release something for other people. Apple are so good at it, in ways that aren’t obvious at first glance.

Sad but unsurprising to see that Instagram came down hard on Ryan Barrett’s Atom app.

It’s past time that I stop giving these silos any thoughts at all with regard to improvements via the open ethos of the web.

If they don’t let you change Siri’s voice to Paul Bettany then they’re fools.

“Clumsy hardware controllers” – now there’s the fun part of Apple.

Happy to represent the sheltered kids. 😂

I thought the Discourse chat worked very well for Micro Camp.

I wonder if anybody else thinks they would be a good space for further off-timeline chat?

If I remember correctly I think @pratik floated the idea of it being an (un)official Micro.blog messaging service, which is interesting.

Most of us use language like an awkward and crude tool to gesture vaguely at the inexpressible within.

Had a fun, short chat with @jean, @jsonbecker, and @check during Jean’s first “office hours”. One of the things we talked about was feature requests and community involvement, and as a result I’m going to share a couple of links to my blog:
